The Reader

Putting aside not the most likable Kate Winslet and what they say about making a movie about Holocaust and you will get an Oscar nomination, Kate is actually really good in this movie.

At the end, it reminds me of the 'Dancer In The Dark'. About a simple woman living in the 2nd World War era in Germany. Her simple ideas and responsibilities in Life and her one only fear, which eventually lead her to her final ending days. In fact, the affair between her, a 36 year old woman with a 15 year old boy became almost a side plot. The movie will make you question yourself on sympathy, the truth and morality.

A movie simply about a sympathetic Nazi character... so where will you stand?

Thought you might like the 'side plot'... I tell you it was £6 well spent for an afternoon! Lol! ;-)
